PhD course on Basic Kinetic Modeling in PET and MR Imaging

A student who has met the objectives of the course will be able to:

1. Explain tracer kinetic principles in physiology, nuclear medicine and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
2. Define Fick’s principle, compartments and rate constants
3. Theorize on impulse response function, exponential functions and convolution
4. Reflect on own project from a tracer kinetic perspective
5. Understand trade-offs with different kinetic modeling
6. Evaluate and select among kinetic models used for performing kinetic analysis of dynamic datasets
7. Mention which features of a radioligand makes it useful
